“Blow like sweet roses in the summer air”

Love’s Labour’s Lost,Act 5, Scene 2

Created in partnership with The Rose Playhouse, this beautiful work is by Sian Fan, an interdisciplinary artist who is a graduate of the Fine Art Masters at Central Saint Martins, where she was awarded the Mona Hatoum Scholarship for excellence. She has exhibited internationally with venues including Tate Modern, Annka Kultys Gallery, and the V&A Museum, as well as producing work with Channel 4, the BBC and Facebook Meta.

Her work combines movement, the body and technology to explore embodiment, spirituality and human experience in the digital age. Through her work she hopes to discover new ways for us to coexist with technology.

“Much of my work features digitised and fragmented botanics, so this floral themed quote resonated with me immediately. I particularly enjoy its broader meaning, where taken out of context of the play it speaks to a sense of unity and of the senselessness of division.”
