Shakespeare’s Globe is a world-renowned performing arts venue, cultural attraction and education centre. Home to the Globe Theatre and Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, both celebrate William Shakespeare’s transformative impact on the world by conducting a radical theatrical experiment. The open air playhouse is a faithful reconstruction of the original theatre which famously burned down in 1613. Its summer season runs from April to October, with standing tickets available from £5. The winter season moves to the indoor Jacobean theatre setting from November to March, however visitors can book guided tours all year round.
