We have partnered with M.Y.O. for this arty Frost Fair themed event in January!
Whether it’s bears, foxes or elephants, animals were a huge part of the Frost Fair spectacle and this workshop helps you create your own marvellous print. And you can BYOB too if you’re fancying a little tipple as you create your masterpiece.
Using a single block of A6 lino, you’ll be guided through how to create multiple lino prints in a variety of colours, themed around the animals found at historical Frost Fairs including bears, foxes and even an elephant! This workshop provides an introduction to the tools and techniques needed to print posters. You’ll draw your design, transfer it onto the lino, carve it out and then roll and apply ink, whilst experimenting with different methods for lino printing artworks on paper.
You’ll end up with 3+ of your own handmade A4 prints to hang on your wall or give as a gift!
This session is part of the Frost Fair which Better Bankside is running across December and January. Frost Fair is a homage to the area’s unique history, celebrating the characters and fascinating stories from past winters in the Southwark borough.
