Unsure of what to do with your little ones this half term? Take them to Bankside this February to enjoy a variety of activities. From climbing walls to interactive history tours, Bankside has something for children of all ages.

Free meals at The Real Greek

Burn off some energy at The Font Borough climbing wall

Let your kids climb the walls at The Font, not yours! The Font has a full week of junior climbing sessions during the half term, available every day for ages 8-18. Climbing is a great way for children to challenge their bodies and minds. Visit the timetable here to book your child on a session.

Meet the crew of The Golden Hinde

Board the Golden Hinde and travel back in time to meet the crew of a 16th-century ship, including the captain, gunner, and surgeon. Each 20-minute session runs from 11am-4pm and is included in the standard admission price. More on Meet the Crew activity here.

Storytelling Shakespeare’s Globe

The Globe’s storytelling series —have become a regular fixture for parents looking to bring the bard to life for a younger audience. Specifically adapted iterations of Shakespeare’s most famous tales are told by performers with enthusiastic engagement.  The Globe’s workshops also feature games and activities tailored to each age-group and centred on individual plays including Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing and Macbeth. Tate Draw

Take a seat at one of the drawing desks at Tate Modern and make your own masterpiece using our digital sketch pads. When you’ve finished your drawing, take a step back and see it projected on the wall. You can also save it to a phone or order a T-shirt to wear your creation. Find out more
