Presented on the Mezzanine of The Hoxton, Southwark is the latest collection from London-based design brand Amechi, founded by Cameroon-born designer Amechi Mandi, entitled Asafo; a series of five jacquard-woven blankets that bring the beauty and heritage of Asafo flags into the contemporary home. The Asafo collection celebrates the artistry and cultural significance of Asafo flag culture, a tradition of the Fante people of Ghana. Captivated by their vibrant imagery and rich history, Amechi have created a series of throw blankets with playfulness as the main motif, to evoke the same curiosity that the flags inspired in them.
